'TriMet Barber' Banned From Buses, Trains For Life

(Portland, OR)  --  The so-called "TriMet Barber" is being banned from the transit agency's bus and train service for life.  TriMet issued a lifetime ban yesterday to Jared Walter, who is accused of assaulting women on TriMet buses and MAX trains, sometimes by cutting their hair.  Walter is currently facing three charges of third-degree sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting two women on TriMet buses last month.  This is the first lifetime ban ever issued by TriMet.  The transit agency authorized an ordinance allowing for lifetime bans and exclusions in 2017.
