(Portland, OR) -- A suspect Portland Police were trying to arrest hit a K-9 with a metal pipe. Wednesday afternoon, the suspect ran into a vacant apartment in Northwest Portland. He was armed with a large-bladed weapon. When he tried to escape, he was confronted by a police K-9. The dog was hit with a pipe, but not injured. Harcos detained the suspect until police could arrest him. During the standoff, he also destroyed a drone police used to search the apartment. Thirty-three-year-old Joshua Kuras faces several charges.
