(Portland, OR) -- A Newport Police K9 has new body armor thanks to a donation from a national nonprofit. Vested Interest in K9s donated a bullet proof and stab proof vest to K9 Sly. His vest was sponsored by Sharon Parker of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and was embroidered with the words "Honoring those who served and sacrificed."
