(Lane County, OR) -- A suspect in a Lane County kidnapping was found dead inside of a house Friday evening. 56-year-old James Lipe Junior had warrants for kidnapping, strangulation and violating a restraining order. He had made statements he would engage in a gunfight, so the Sheriff's office deployed an armored vehicle and tried to communicate with Lipe. After he did not respond, a drone captured images of the suspect on the floor with a head wound and a gun nearby. Deputies forced their way inside and confirmed he was dead.
