(North Powder, OR) -- An investigation is ongoing into a deadly crash involving two semi-trucks on I-84 near North Powder. Oregon State Police say the driver of one of the semis was killed Monday morning when his disabled semi was hit by another big rig. Police say a semi operated by 46-year-old Kevin Russell, of Arkansas, was stopped on the side of the highway and a tow truck was in the process of hooking up the disabled semi when another semi went off the freeway and hit the disabled truck. Russell was standing outside of his truck. He was hit and died at the scene. The driver of the truck that caused the crash was hospitalized with minor injuries.
