Troopers Get AEDs
(Springfield, OR) -- A donation from Oregon Community Credit Union has put automated external defibrillators in Oregon State Police patrol cars in Lane County. About 30 times a year, troopers throughout the state respond to incidents requiring CPR. This year, troopers have already performed CPR more than 20 times. In rural areas, it takes more time for medical personnel to arrive. Having AEDs in state patrol vehicles can get emergency care to patients faster.
