Drug Company Settlement

(Salem, OR) -- Drug maker Sandoz has settled with Oregon, and 41 other states, a lawsuit that accused the company of conspiring with other drug companies to inflate the costs of prescription medications. Combined with earlier settlements, Sandoz will pay 469-million-dollars. Oregon will get four-and-a-half-million-dollars. Nearly two-million-dollars will go toward Medicaid reimbursements. Nearly three-million-dollars will be returned to Oregonians who bought the medications.
