PBOT Considers Event Parking Rate Increase In Elliot Neighborhood

Category: State News

(Portland, OR) -- The Portland Bureau of Transportation is considering a parking rate increase in the Elliot neighborhood during large events at the Rose Quarter. The cost to park on streets would go up from five-dollars 40-cents an hour to eight dollars an hour. Residents say during large events at the Rose Quarter, they can't leave their homes, because there would be nowhere to park when they return. A Portland City Council committee will consider the proposal this week.
