20th ranked Oregon opens Big 10 conference play at number 12 USC Saturday.
During yesterday’s media availability quarterback Dante Moore was asked about his role leading the team.
“I'm just pushing myself even more and more as a leader and being more vocal, you know, showing them out there in practice, you know, running around, transitioning from period to period, communicating with them. So, I've been doing better with that. Even, you know, other people on the team, other my other teammates are also doing better with that.”
The Ducks play the Trojans in the LA Coliseum at 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Oregon State is back on the road Saturday.
Beavers’ defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre laid out what his defense is up against with UTEP Saturday night.
“You're gonna see all kinds of different formations. You're gonna see a lot of different, reverses and double passes and double moves. They have a lot of creativity in their offense, and, you'll see them motion and shifting and tons of different formations. So our, you know, secondary and linebacking crew is gonna have to be on, on par about getting lined up correctly and having the right leverage and, making the right checks.”

WNBA:
The Portland Fire are looking ahead to their second WNBA season after finishing their inaugural campaign with a 17-and-27 record and missing the playoffs. General Manager Vanja Cernivec says the team developed chemistry faster than expected and built a strong connection with Portland fans. Head Coach Alex Sarama also pointed to player development and the foundation established during the team's first year. The Fire will now focus on developing their roster through free agency and the draft, with WNBA free agency potentially beginning in February.
