Oregon's Altman Retires

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Oregon State is back at Reser to take on San Diego State this Saturday afternoon.

Freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree is earning national attention this week, landing on the Biletnikoff Award watch list.

The award goes each year to college football’s top receiver.

Legree is tied for the national lead with nine touchdown catches and ranks second with 741 receiving yards through five games.

 

Number 13 Oregon faces 21 ranked UCLA this Saturday.

NBA:

The Trail Blazers’ were in good form in the first pre-season game last night against Golden State.

Deni Avdija picked up where he left off last season leading the team with 23 points in only 21 minutes.

Damian Lillard knocked down three three-pointers in his first game action in over a year.

The Blazers play Sacramento next week.

 

College Hoops:

Dana Altman is done at Oregon. The Ducks’ longtime men’s basketball coach is retiring effective immediately after 16 seasons in Eugene.

Altman won a program-record 382 games, led Oregon to nine NCAA Tournaments, and took the Ducks to the 2017 Final Four. Assistant coach Tony Stubblefield will serve as interim head coach for the upcoming season.
