COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Oregon used a big play on offense to take down now former number 20 ranked Northwestern Saturday afternoon in Eugene.

The loss knocked the Wildcats out of the Top 25. The U of O is just behind them in the ‘also receiving votes’ mentions.

The Ducks will look to take that momentum to Columbus, Ohio this week to face a Buckeye’s team that was just knocked out of the AP Top 10 following their upset to USC.

Oregon State’s five game winning streak was snapped in Fresno Saturday night.

The Beavers outgained the Bulldogs in yardage but Fresno State capitalized on turnovers and the Beavs offense settled for field goals rather than keeping pace with touchdowns.

Next OSU has a Texas State team visiting Reser Stadium that just gave number 20 Boise State all it wanted in a narrow loss on Saturday night.
