Crook County captured its 4th straight state wrestling championship Saturday in Portland winning the 4A crown, and Culver won its 9th state class 2A title in the last 10 years.

The 13th ranked Oregon Ducks mens basketball team can clinch at least a share of the PAC-12 league banner with two games to go in the regular season with one win this weekend in Southern California.

The Ducks defeated the Washington Huskies yesterday, 86-30, to improve to …23-6 overall and lead the pac-12 with a 12-4 mark.  

Oregon, who plays at UCLA Wednesday, was unbeaten on their home floor winning 18.

The Beavers are nearing consideration for the big dance next month as OSU beat Washington State 69-49. Oregon State is 17-10.

In women’s hoops…Oregon State wins back to back PAC-12 league crowns. The PAC-12 tournament tips off Thursday in Seattle.

In small college hoops….Oregon Tech head coach Danny Miles, the second winningest coach in college history after a 45 year career, coached his last game Saturday night.   His team fell to Luke Jackson’s Northwest Christian Beacons in the semifinals of the NAIA regional playoffs.
Miles won 3 national titles at Oregon Tech, and is a 2-time National Coach of the Year.

(Eugene, OR)  --  Elgin Cook dropped 26 points as 13th-ranked Oregon cruised past Washington, 86-73, in its final regular season home game.  The Ducks improved to 23-and-6 and 12-and-4 in the Pac 12.  They wrap up at UCLA on Wednesday and at USC on Saturday.

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  The Portland Trail Blazers have two straight road victories in the books, the latest being a 111-102 win over Indiana.  It was another big night for Damian Lillard, who scored 33 points.   C.J. McCollum and Gerald Henderson each scored 19 points, while Meyers Leonard added 17 of his own for Portland, which has won 13 of its last 15 games.  The Blazers are at the Knicks tomorrow 4:30 pm Pacific time tip-off.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State dumped Washington State, 69-49, in its final game of the season in Corvallis.  Gary Payton the Second went for 13 points seven rebounds and eight assists in his father's retired number-20 on Senior Day.  The Beavers are 17-and-10 and 8-and-8 in the Pac 12.  They close out the regular season at USC on Wednesday and at UCLA on Saturday.
 

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  Representatives of the Seattle Seahawks and defensive end Michael Bennett are reportedly discussing a new deal.  NFL Media's Ian Rapaport tweeted that Bennett's new agent, Relativity Sports, met with Seahawks management last week during the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.  Bennett hired Relativity Sports after firing his former agent, Drew Rosenhaus, earlier this month.  Bennett complained last year that the four-year, 28-point-five-million-dollar free-agent contract that Rosenhaus negotiated for him in 2014 was insufficient.

(Eugene, OR)  --  Oregon welcomes Washington to Eugene on Sunday.  The Ducks are 22-and-6 and 11-and-4 in the Pac-12 after beating Wazzu by 14 on Wednesday.  Washington is 16-and-12 and 8-and-8.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Trail Blazers blew a 21-point lead in their 119-105 loss to the Rockets at the Moda Center.  Portland couldn't slow down James Harden, who scored 34 of his 46 points in the second half.  Damian Lillard had his streak of five straight 30-point games snapped, but still tallied 23 in the defeat.  The Blazers' six-game winning streak came to an end.  They're at the Bulls tomorrow night.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State is back in action facing Washington State in Corvallis on Sunday.  The Beavers ended a two-game losing streak with an 82-81 win over Washington on Wednesday.  Oregon State is 16-and-10 and 7-and-8 in the Pac-12, while the Cougars are 9-and-19 and 1-and-15.

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he expects Thomas Rawls will be the lead running back for the team after he recovers from a broken ankle.  Rawls will likely be well enough to join the team in training camp this summer, and Carroll says he has a "great shot" to replace the retired Marshawn Lynch as the starter.  Rawls displayed speed and aggressiveness in subbing for the injured Lynch last season before injuring the ankle in the Seahawks' win over the Colts.

The Oregon Ducks magic number to clinch the PAC-12 men’s basketball crown is now 2 after the 13th ranked Ducks ran past Ernie Kent’s Washington State Cougars, 76-62.

With three games remaining in the regular season, oregon is within reach of its first league title in 14 years.

The win last night at Matt Knight arena is a school record 24 straight home victories and puts Oregon in sole possession of first place in the pac-12 with an 11-and-4 league mark and 22-6 overall record.

Elgin Cook scored 16 of his 24 points in the second and Chris Boucher added 18 points and hauled in 13 rebounds leading to the win.

Washington State suffers its 14th straight loss, the longest ever in Ernie Kent’s coaching career.

A buzzer beater win for Oregon state last night in corvallis as beaver fresman guard steven thompson dribbled the length of the court with 3-point three seconds remaining and hit a game winning 3-point shot lifting the beavers past Washington, 82-81.

Thompson led all Beavers in scoring with 18 points as OSU improves to 7-8 in league action and 16-10 overall.

Oregon State hosts Washington State Sunday and needs 2 wins to be considered for an NCAA tournament bid.

Colorado handed 9th ranked Arizona its 6th loss of the year as the Golden Buffs beat the Wildcats in Boulder, 75-72. That loss coupled with Oregon’s win puts the Ducks in first place.

Tonight in the PAC-12…22nd ranked Utah hosts Arizona State, Stanford welcomes USC, and UCLA plays at Cal.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Trail Blazers look to stay hot playing another key Western Conference matchup against the Rockets at the Moda Center tonight.  Portland has won six straight with an eight-point win over the Nets on Tuesday.  The Blazers are 30-and-27, good for sixth in the West.  Houston is ninth at 28-and-29. The Oregon State women’s team has moved up one spot in this week’s national rankings. The Beavers who are one win away from clinching back-to-back PAC-12 league titles are now ranked 7th with a 24-3 overall record.

The Mountain View Cougar boy’s basketball team captured the IMC league banner last night as the 2nd ranked Cougars won their 12th straight game beating the Bend Lava Bears, 71-55.
The Cougs will close out the regular season Friday hosting 4th ranked summit who was idle last night.

Elsewhere, Ridgeview snapped a 10-game losing streak beating Redmond, 81-66.

(Seattle, WA)  --  New Seattle Mariners manager Scott Servais says there's a "good shot" that ace Felix Hernandez will be the starting pitcher on opening day.  Hernandez will likely take the mound when the Mariners open their season at Texas on April 4th.  King Felix had an 18-and-9 record last season with an ERA of three-point-53.  He's never pitched in a playoff game during his big-league career.

(Portland, OR)  --  The red-hot Portland Trail Blazers' winning streak is now five games, following a 115-111 victory at home over Utah.  C.J. McCollum led the Blazers with 31 points, and Damian Lillard added 30.  Maurice Harkless came off the bench to score 17 points.  Portland will host Brooklyn tomorrow night.

(Eugene, OR)  --  Tyler Dorsey led all scorers with 25 points as the 17th-ranked Ducks were able to take down the Beavers, 91-81, in the latest addition of the Civil War game.  Dillon Brooks put up 17 while Elgin Cook added 16 for Oregon, which snapped a two-game skid with the win.  Tres Tinkle scored 25 points in a losing effort for Oregon State.  Both teams return to action Wednesday.

(Portland, OR)  --  Cameron Forte scored a game-high 32 points to help the Portland State basketball team take down Eastern Washington 107-91 at the Stott Center.  Calaen Robinson added 18 points off the bench for the Vikings while Isaiah Pineiro put up 15 of his own.  The Vikings snapped a four-game slide with the win and improved to 5-and-9 in conference play.  The team is back in action Thursday for a road matchup with North Dakota.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Timbers continued their preseason by taking down Minnesota 4-0 at Providence Park.  Four different players netted goals for the Timbers, who are 3-0-and-1 this preseason.  Portland will look to defend its MLS Cup championship this season, starting its regular season slate March 6th against the Columbus Crew.

The college division-1 baseball season begins today with the road to Omaha for the national championship and the Oregon state beavers are ranked as high as 5th in two of the major collegiate polls and the Oregon ducks 14th.

Oregon state opens the season today at noon in Surprise, Arizona taking on the MAC (mid-american conference) champion ball state cardinals.

The Beavers, who have made it to the postseason last 7 consecutive years, finished 2nd place in the pac-12 last season behind league champion UCLA.

Meantime, the Ducks open at San Diego state taking on the Aztecs.  Oregon finished 6th place in 2015.

The Beavers are picked by PAC-12 coaches to finish 2nd and the Ducks 5th.
 

The OSAA state high school swimming championships begin this morning in Beaverton at the Tualatin Hills recreation center.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Blazers made a couple of deals before yesterday's trade deadline.  Portland acquired a first-round draft pick and big man Anderson Varejao in a three-team deal involving Cleveland and Orlando.  The Blazers sent a second round pick to Orlando, who sent Channing Frye to the Cavs.  Portland has waived Varejao.  Portland also picked up guard Brian Roberts and a second-round pick from Miami in exchange for cash considerations.  In a corresponding move, Tim Frazier was waived.

(Renton, WA)  --  Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is reportedly planning to test the free-agent market.  Jackson, who is a former starting quarterback for the Seahawks, turned down more money to sign a one-year deal last year with Seattle.  But Jackson, who will become an unrestricted free agent next month, reportedly may not re-sign with the Seahawks before the free-agency period begins.

(Toronto, Ontario) -- Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum took part in the NBA's All-Star weekend Saturday night in at the Air Canada Centre.  McCollum first participated in the Skills Challenge, defeating Lakers' guard Jordan Clarkson in the first round before falling to Boston's Isaiah Thomas in the second round.  The 24-year-old was also in the three-point contest but was eliminated after the first round.  Portland is back in action on Friday against Golden State.

(Stanford, CA) -- Dillon Brooks scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half but couldn't avoid the upset as the 11th-ranked Ducks were stunned by Stanford 76-72 at Maples Pavilion.  Tyler Dorsey added 14 points while Elgin Cook had 11 for Oregon, which lost its second straight game after winning six in-a-row.  The team is back in action Saturday to take on Oregon State.

(Berkeley, CA) -- The Beavers were outscored by 12 points in the first half and could never recover as they fell to California 83-71 at Haas Pavilion.  Tres Tinkle had 22 points to help lead a comeback attempt that fell short for Oregon State, which had its' three game win streak snapped in the loss.  The team will look to get back to .500 in conference play Saturday against in-state rival Oregon.

(Daytona, FL)  --  Former Seattle Mariners great Ken Griffey, Jr. will be the honorary starter for the annual Daytona 500 this coming Sunday.  Griffey, who was recently elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, will wave the green flag at the event.  Griffey played 13 of his 22 major-league seasons with the Mariners.

(Seattle, WA)  --  Multiple outlets are reporting that Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins is leaving for China.  SeattlePI.com reports Martins will head for the club Shanghai Shenhua in a multi-million-dollar transfer.  Martins led the Sounders in goals in 2014 and 2015.  The Sounders hope the addition of forward Jordan Moss, a Mercer Island native who starred at Stanford, will somewhat offset the loss of Martins.
 

(Berkeley, CA)  --  Jabari Bird led the charge with 24 points as Cal upset number-12 Oregon, 83-63, at Haas Pavilion.  Dillon Brooks led Oregon with 17 points.  The Ducks' six-game win streak is over, but they're still in first place in the Pac-12 at 9-and-3.  Oregon travels to Stanford tomorrow night.

(Toronto, Ontario)  --  NBA All-Star Weekend tips off tonight with the Rising Stars Challenge and the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at the Air Canada Centre.  Blazers guard C.J. McCollum will compete in tomorrow's Skills Challenge.  Saturday night will also feature the Three-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk Contest.  No Blazers are playing in Sunday's All-Star Game.  Damian Lillard is the only player ranked in the top ten in scoring not playing in the All-Star Game.

(Indianapolis, IN)  --  Six football players from local schools have earned invites to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.  From Oregon, quarterback Vernon Adams Junior, defensive lineman DeForest Buckner, receivers Bralon Addison and Byron Marshall, and offensive lineman Tyler Johnstone have all been invited.  Guard Isaac Seumalo was the only Beaver to earn an invite. The combine takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium from February 23rd to February 29th.

(Stanford, CA)  --  Tres Tinkle dropped 19 points as Oregon State topped Stanford, 62-50, at Maples Pavilion.  Gary Payton the Second added 14 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Beavers.  OSU improved to 15-and-8 and 6-and-6 in the Pac-12.  The Beavers visit Cal tomorrow.

(Tucson, AZ)  --  The Portland Timbers ended their camp with a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake in a preseason friendly in Tucson.  Lucas Melano scored the only goal inside of the first minute.  The Timbers open the MLS regular season at home on March 6th against the Columbus Crew.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Pilots have nearly a week to prepare for their next game, following a 92-66 loss to West Coast Conference rival Gonzaga.  The Pilots were unable to keep the momentum going last night after last Saturday's victory over Loyola Marymount.  Kyle Wiltjer led Gonzaga with 21 points.  Portland will play next Thursday night at home against Saint Mary's.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Trail Blazers are on a three-game winning streak following their 116-103 victory over Houston.  Damian Lillard scored 31 points and dished out nine assists last night as the Blazers moved into a seventh-place tie in the Western Conference standings.  Portland is going into the All-Star break having won eight of its last nine games.  The Blazers will host Golden State on February 19th.

(Portland, OR)  --  Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has been named a finalist for Team USA basketball.  Lillard will receive an invite to training camp this summer, with a chance to earn a spot on the 12-man roster for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.  Last month, 30 finalists were named for the roster, with Lillard not making the cut.  Lillard declined an invitation to the 2015 Team USA minicamp, as he was unhappy that he was cut from the 2014 FIBA World Cup team.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Beavers guard Gary Payton the Second has been named one of 20 finalists for the Wooden Award, given to college basketball's top player.  The senior guard is averaging 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game for Oregon State.  Payton the Second is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton.

(Eugene, OR)  --  The Oregon Ducks' offensive line is getting some veteran help.  Zac Morgan, a graduate transfer tackle from the University of Dayton, has agreed to transfer to Oregon.  Morgan was an All-Pioneer Football League first-teamer after helping the Flyers to a 10-and-2 record.  Morgan joins former Montana State quarterback Dakota Prukop as grad transfers from FCS schools who have joined the Ducks this offseason.

(Eugene, OR)  --  The 12th-ranked Oregon Ducks tip a two-game northern California trip tomorrow at Cal.  The Ducks visit the Bears tomorrow and Stanford on Saturday.  UO is 20-and-4 overall, and leads the Pac-12 with a 9-and-2 conference record.
 

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State is on the road tomorrow in the first of two games in northern California.  The Beavers meet Stanford before visiting Cal on Saturday.  The Beavers went 2-and-0 last week to improve to 14-and-8 overall and 5-and-6 in Pac-12 play.
 

(Eugene, OR)  --  The Oregon football program is locking up new quarterbacks coach David Yost.  The two sides have agreed to a two-year contract that "The Oregonian" reports is worth 350-thousand-dollars annually.  The former Washington State inside receivers coach was officially added to the staff in January, but his wasn't signed until last week.

(Renton, WA)  --  Tweets of tribute are pouring in, after Marshawn Lynch's agent confirmed the star running back is retiring from the Seahawks.  Doug Hendrickson tweeted his congratulations and gratitude to "Beast Mode," saying working for Lynch over the past nine years has been a journey he will cherish.  Lynch tweeted his intention to retire during the Super Bowl, posting only a pair of neon-green football shoes hanging over a wire and a peace-sign emoji.  Lynch spent six of his nine NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, whose owner, Paul Allen, tweeted his thanks for "so many memorable runs and quakes."

(Memphis, TN) -- Damian Lillard put up 33 points to help the Trail Blazers take down the Grizzlies in overtime, 112-106 at the FedExForum.  Allen Crabbe forced the extra session with a tip-in at the buzzer for Portland, which has won seven of its last eight games.  C.J. McCollum added 21 points.  The Blazers host the Houston Rockets tomorrow in the final game before the All-Star break.

(Eugene, OR)  --  University of Oregon is rising in the latest college basketball rankings.  The Ducks are up five spots to 12th in the "USA Today" Top 25 Coaches' Poll.  UO went 2-and-0 against Colorado and Utah last week.  The Ducks visit Cal and Stanford this week.

(Towson, MD)  --  Quarterback Morgan Mahalak is transferring from Oregon to FCS school Towson.  Mahalak moves to the Maryland school after never throwing a pass for the Ducks.  He was not expected to compete for UO's starting quarterback position.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State guard Gary Payton the Second is the College Sports Madness National Player of the Week.  Payton averaged over 18 points, five assists and 3.5 steals per game in the Beavers back-to-back victories last week.  OSU visits Stanford and Cal this week.

(Eugene, OR) -- Oregon running back Thomas Tyner has decided to retire from football after sitting out all of last season with a shoulder injury.  Tyner finishes his career with 1,284 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.  Oregon will continue to provide a scholarship to Tyner, however, it will not count against the team's 85-player limit per NCAA rules.

(Memphis, TN) -- The Trail Blazers are back in action tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum.  Portland has won six of its last seven games and is coming off a 96-79 win over the Rockets Saturday on the road.  The Blazers are currently 25-and-27 and sit just one game out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.  Tipoff is slated for 5:00 p.m.

(Eugene, OR) -- Dillon Brooks set career-highs with 30 points and nine assists to lead the 17th-ranked Ducks over Utah 76-66 at Matthew Knight Arena.  Chris Boucher added 15 points for Oregon, which extended its' win streak to six games.  The Ducks will look to keep it going Thursday in a road matchup with Cal.

(Corvallis, OR) -- Gary Payton scored 17 points and set a career-high with seven steals to help Oregon State take down Colorado 60-56 Saturday at Gill Coliseum.  Stephen Thompson Junior added 14 points off the bench for the Beavers, who won their second straight game.  OSU looks to get back to .500 in Pac-12 play Thursday against Stanford on the road.

(Renton, WA)  --  A picture of a pair of lime-green football shoes hanging over a wire appears to indicate that Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is calling it a career.  The photo appeared yesterday on Lynch's Twitter account during the Super Bowl, and followed reports that he told people close to him he's retiring.  Lynch has played nine seasons in the NFL and was selected five times to play in the Pro Bowl.  His contract with Seattle runs through 2017.

(Toronto, Ontario)  --  Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has been chosen to compete in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge during NBA All-Star Weekend.  The tournament will be held during All-Star Saturday Night on February 13th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.  The three-round Skills Challenge will feature an obstacle course with passing, agility, dribbling, and three-point shooting tasks.  Damian Lillard won the event in 2013.

(Portland, OR)  --  The winning streak is over for the Portland Trail Blazers, thanks to a 110-103 loss at home to Toronto.  Damian Lillard scored 27 points and had eleven assists in last night's game, which Portland lost after winning five straight.  C.J. McCollum added 21 points.  The Blazers will visit Houston tomorrow evening.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Former Beavers quarterback Seth Collins has announced he is transferring to Northern Illinois University.  As a true freshman in 2015, he threw for 935 yards and six TDs, while rushing for 575 yards and eight scores in eight games.  Collins must sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Stephen Thompson Junior nailed three free throws in the final second to pull lift Oregon State past Utah, 71-69 in Corvallis.  Down by one with seconds left, Thompson was fouled on a prayer from halfcourt.  Gary Payton the Second had 20 points, seven assists, and six rebounds in the win.  Oregon State hosts Colorado tomorrow.

(Eugene, OR)  --  Elgin Cook scored 18 points as the Ducks breezed by the Colorado, 76-56 at Matthew Knight Arena.  Tyler Dorsey added 13 points for number-17 Oregon, which held a 19-point halftime lead and cruised down the stretch.  The Ducks host Utah tomorrow.

(Undated)  --  A report from NFL.com lists the Seattle Seahawks among the teams interested in the services of running back DeMarco Murray.  Murray is reportedly at odds with his current team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and that's throwing his future with the team into question.  The Seahawks, the Oakland Raiders, and his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, are all reported to be interested in acquiring Murray, should he part ways with the Eagles.  The NFL.com report says Murray and the Eagles are "headed toward a stare-down" regarding his performance last season, during which he gained only 702 yards.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Trail Blazers shoot for their sixth consecutive victory tonight as they play host to the Toronto Raptors at the Moda Center.  Portland is 24-and-26 on the year after winning five straight games.  Toronto enters the year at 33-and-16, having won 12 of its past 13 games.

(Seattle, WA)  --  The Blazers can now be heard on the radio by fans in Seattle.  950 AM KJR is set to broadcast seven games in Seattle starting with Saturday's matchup with Houston.  The City of Seattle has been without basketball since the SuperSonics left following the 2007-2008 season to become the Oklahoma City Thunder.

(Eugene, OR)  --  The Oregon Ducks added 19 players on National Signing Day and finished with the 24th-ranked class in the country according to Scout.com.  The Ducks secured commitments from four in-state players, which include Brady Breeze and Lamar Winston from Portland Central Catholic, Justin Herbert from Eugene Sheldon, and Cam McCormick from Bend Summit.  Also joining the Ducks is former Tigard standout A.J. Hotchkins, who spent 2015 in junior college.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  The Oregon State Beavers added 24 players on National Signing Day and finished with the 55th-ranked class in the country according to Scout.com.  Eight junior college recruits highlight the class.  Oregon City wide receiver Trevon Bradford served as the only in-state signee for the Beavers, not counting Gresham athlete Emony Robinson, who is going to grayshirt for Oregon State.

(Portland, OR)  --  C.J. McCollum scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Trail Blazers over the Bucks 107-95 at the Moda Center.  Damian Lillard put up a double-double with 14 points and 12 assists while Al-Farouq Aminu added 16 points for Portland, which has won four straight and nine of its last 11.  The Blazers are back in action Thursday against the Raptors at home.

(Undated)   --   It's National Signing Day in college football.  Top high school players from around the country will sign National Letters of Intent with the schools they intend to play for.  Oregon's 2016 recruiting class ranks 21st in the country by Rivals.com entering today.  Oregon State's class comes in at number-40.

(Eugene, OR)  --  A day after being named Pac-12 Player of the Week, Oregon sophomore forward Dillon Brooks was named the Naismith National Player of the Week.  Brooks averaged 21 points per game during the week and led the 17th-ranked Ducks to wins over Arizona and Arizona State.  The team gears up for a home matchup with Colorado Thursday.

(Corvallis, OR)  --  Oregon State gets the night off tonight before taking on Utah Thursday at Gill Coliseum.  The Beavers will look to get back on track after losing five of their last six games, most recently an 80-63 defeat at the hands of number-20 Arizona on the road.  OSU hopes to improve on its 3-and-6 conference record in the second of two matchups this season with the Utes.

(Portland, OR)  --  The streaking Portland Trail Blazers host the Milwaukee Bucks tonight.  Portland has won four straight and is 23-and-26 overall.  The Blazers fell to the Bucks in December.  Milwaukee is in the second of back-to-back games.  Tip from the Moda Center at 7:00.

(Honolulu, HI)  --  Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is the offensive MVP of the 2016 Pro Bowl after leading Team Irvin to a 49-27 win over Team Rice.  Wilson passed for three first-half touchdowns and completed eight of 12 for 164 yards.  Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett recorded the game's only sack and had a seven-yard gain after he lined up at running back.  The contest served to whet the appetites of football fans one week before Super Bowl 50.

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Trail Blazers are on a four-game winning streak after defeating Minnesota at home, 96-93.  Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum each scored 21 points for the Blazers, who have won eight of their last ten games.  Meyers Leonard added 13 points.  Portland will host Milwaukee tomorrow night.
 

(Tempe, AZ)  --  Chris Boucher had 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks as number-24 Oregon slammed Arizona State, 91-74.  Dillon Brooks added 18 points for the Ducks, who are 7-and-2 in the Pac-12 and 18-and-4 overall.  Oregon hosts Colorado Thursday.

(Moscow, ID)  --  Cameron Forte piled up 20 points and 20 rebounds in a losing effort as the Vikings were edged by Idaho, 56-55 at the Cowan Spectrum.  Isaiah Piniero added 16 points for Portland State, which lost its second straight game and fell to 7-and-12 overall.  The team will look to improve on its 3-and-5 conference record Thursday against Montana State at home.

(Tucson , AZ)  --  Tres Tinkle put up 16 points but it wasn't nearly enough as Oregon State fell to number-15 Arizona 80-63 Saturday at the McKale Center.  Olaf Schaftenaar added 14 points as the only other player to score in double-figures for the Beavers.  Oregon State lost five of its last six games and sits at 12-and-8 overall.  The team will look to get back on track Thursday against Utah at home.
