Moving outdoors and prep baseball where the Summit Storm got even with Ridgeview yesterday after the Ravens beat the Storm in the IMC opener on Tuesday, 7-6. Summit pounded Ridgeview in to submission and a tap-out win on the Ravens home diamond in 5-innings, 13-to-notihing.
Meantime, Redmond takes the early IMC lead as the Panthers crushed Mt. View for the second-straight day, 13-to-4. Same matchups tomorrow to end week-1 in the Intermountain Conference.
Elsewhere on the scoreboard…Bend split two games yesterday both in Hood River losing to the host team 14-2, but winning the night cap beating Pendleton, 3-1.
In a class 4-A non-league game, Sisters took care of business beating Cascade, 11-3.
Tomorrow, Sisters is scheduled to host Sutherlin for a twinbill, and Madras opens Tri-Valley play hosting Molalla, while Crook County opens on the road at Estacada.
On the girl’s softball scoreboard….Ridgeview and Redmond both off to 2-and-0 league starts as the Lady Ravens smashed Summit yesterday 20-to-1 and the Panthers slip by Mt. View 8-7.
