High School Sports

It was three up and three down yesterday for our 3 local High School Girl’s soccer teams that kicked off the On-Point Community Credit Union Championship playoffs.

In the 2nd round of the Class 6-A bracket, both Summit and Bend lost on the road as the Storm lost at  West Salem 2-1, and the Lady Lava Bears were blanked at Jesuit, 8-zip.  In the 5A division 6th ranked Ridgeview bowed out, too, as Silverton squeeks out a 1-to-nothing victory over the Lady Ravens. So, all the girl’s prep teams in the area are out.

On the Boy’s side…Summit, Ridgeview, and Madras all will play Saturday in the Quarterfinal round.

Meantime, the State Volleyball Tournaments tipoff tomorrow with the 6A & 5A Tourney in Hillsboro at Liberty High. Summit, Ridgeview, and Crook County all in the Quarterfinals. And, Sisters plays at Forest Grove in the 4A Quarterfinals.
